Membership Details
Price: $400 per month. $4,800 for 12 months or $2,400 for 6 months. Come and go and take your time building, recreating, and learning. We also have weekend passes, and you can attend workshops only if you prefer.
Payments: a 50% refundable deposit reserves your spot as a Member. The balance due before you arrive (any time, flexible). The first 100 members are the Founding members and your annual renewal price will never increase.
Membership cap: To provide enough community throughout the year, but not too many H. sapiens per acre, memberships are capped each year to 300 people. Each year the community may change as people renew, leave, or newcomers join, but we’ll always stay below the 300 cap.
Minimum age: you must be 18 years old to hold a membership. Children ages 12-17 may hold a membership if accompanied by a parent or legal guardian who is also a member.
Start date: your membership period starts when you first check in. First-time visitors must select a specific arrival window for orientation. Returning members do a self-check-in online (no approval needed) to update the community schedule.
Renewals: Rebook annually, skip years, or live it just once—your Member Portal access remains accessible afterwards to keep in touch with the community.
Guests: you can bring occasional guests to help you build or stay with you. See the member handbook for details.
Refunds: As a paid member, if you don’t fall in love with Serranova within 2 nights of your first check-in, we’ll refund 80% of your membership fee. After this period, there are no refunds, but you can transfer or sell your remaining membership (and any shelter you’ve built) to another person at any time. The membership agreement explains this in detail.

Not Included: Membership does not include the costs of materials or your supplies, clothes, or daily meals. We’ll help you buy almost everything you need onsite. We also host a feast at the four seasonal festivals each year, at a low ticket price of ~$30 per person.
